DIGITAL STORY AND ITS RUBRIC

In the following link we have a story for children. 
Then, as we can see, there is a rubric used for assessing children's work in case they use Storyjumper programme to make their own stories.

Rubric

To evaluate my pupils their work using the story- jumper program, I would make an Analytic Rubric. Firstly, I would add descriptors to each level of performance. Thus, students will be more certain what they are expected to reach at each level of performance on the rubric.

Then, I have done an example of how I would make this type of rubric. In it, I have put some skills that I would take into account of the story that my pupils would have to do.

Making a creative story	The story is a copy of another one	The story is a modification of another one	The story has been created by themselves
The content of the story	It has got no coherence	It has got coherence	It has got coherence and a very good structure
The conclusion of the story	Conclusion is absent or inconsistent with the story	Conclusion is consistent with most of the story	Conclusion is totally consistent with the story
Pronunciation	They tell the story with a poor pronunciation	They pronounced words reasonably well	Their pronunciation is very good

At the same time that I would evaluate these performances I would use another rubric, a Holistic one. With this rubric I would get a judgment of how well my pupils have performed on a task considering all the criteria together or holistically.

So, in this case I would evaluate some skills that my students would have to take into account when they do their oral presentation.

I wouldn’t change a lot the example on the web page because I strongly believe that it`s totally appropriate for any oral presentation and it contains the main skills that children would have to take into account to obtain a good qualification in this work. However, I have put some things that are important too but are missing.
